There was a specific time I remember we were hanging out down in her room at her moms's place, she was sitting at her neatly organized desk and I was sitting on her bed. I asked her, "Danielle, do you ever want to get married and have kids?" Because what 10 year old DOESN'T want that? She looked right at me and said "No, I don't think so. I'm going to be one of those old, single ladies." I was completely flabberghasted! "What do you mean?!" "How do you not want any kids of your own or a husband??" I thought. She was never one to date in school, always having a plethora of friends from every group you could imagine and she always seemed happy, so I let it go.
Fast forward 21 years later, after we both have big girl jobs, cars and busy adult lives where we don't see each other as often as we used to and she tells me she's met someone named Tyler. "Tyler who! Tell me all about him!" I say. (Inside I'm secretly screaming FINALLY!!!) Although, I very possibly could've said that out loud too haha. The way Danielle describes Tyler is the way you talk about your best friend. One you've been waiting for, well, your whole life. And the way that he makes her laugh, teases her and supports her in the things that she does, I'm confident in saying that she's found the person/partner she's supposed to be with. They're one of those couples who are sickeningly sweet to be around and make you jealous if you don't already have that for yourself. It's incredibly adorable. Tyler's a one in a million guy who I couldn't have even picked for my best friend if I'd tried. They're lucky enough to have found each other after a very worthwhile wait.
So, congratulations on your engagement you two and I wish you nothing but the very best for your marriage. I can't wait to see what your future brings!
Enjoy some of my photos from their engagement session we had this weekend because they turned out beautiful!

After that we headed over to the Reception House by Scmidt's where everything was so beautifully decorated in purple and gold.
The wedding party was dressed to the nines and everyone looked ready for the bride and groom to walk down the isle.
Once everyone was lined up and ready to go, the time came for Megan to walk down the isle with her dad. Brooks stood patiently waiting to have his future bride meet him at the end of the isle to start the beginning of their lives as husband and wife.
Megan and Brooks kissed and you could tell once they turned to face their friends and family as the new Mr. & Mrs. Forbess, they were ectatic to finally be able to face the world together as one.
After the ceremony guests headed inside to start the celebration off with food, dancing and fun!
I really wish nothing but the best for Megan & Brooks as they start their lives together as husband and wife. Their wedding was absolutely perfect and I was lucky enough to be able to be there to capture their special day.

There were lots of baby shower games that were played one of which was leaving advice to the soon to be new parents and also a thumb print guest book! We also played the dirty diaper game where you have to guess which melted chocolate bar is which and then we all took turns guessing the size of Jessi's belly with string. There was also a headband decorating station where guests were able to start Alaina's chic style wardrobe collection.
The owl cake was especially adorable and customized to perfection. How cute is this?
The guests brought pretty much everything the happy couple could ever want to be able to take care of little Alaina. Onesies, diapers and outfits and everything else they got just showed how much they are loved by everyone who came!
As the party was winding down, Jessi got to cut her cake and share it with all of her guests.
The party went off without a hitch and couldn't have been more beautiful. Thanks to everyone who came, helped with the shower itself and for all the generous gifts that will get Alaina started off to a GREAT start in life!

Little Olivia and big sister Avery LOVED the camera. I see potential modeling in their futures! Avery had picked a few peppers from the garden and decided to share them with her sister for some fun play time. Beth and Joel were nice enough to let me hang out with them for a bit all the while taking photo's of their little ones.
Never be afraid to meet new people because you never know who might come into your life and change it for the better. I know sweet smiles like this from little girls who are adorable as heck are something you won't want to forget. :)

Little Samuel seems to be a natural in front of the camera and LOVES his photo being taken. It was pretty hilarious when he finally got into the chocolate part of the cake he started cramming it into his mouth lol.
I think it's safe to say I can't wait to do his next session and I'm excited to see him grow and what he throws at me next!

After everyone got ready, the bride and groom had gotten each other a little gift to give to each other before they walked down the isle. I had the honor of delivering Jorge's gift to him at the Hilton Hotel. The gifts were so sweet and thoughtful. Nicole got him a special album for him to look through of boudoir photo's of herself looking sexy as hell. He got her an adorable bracelet with a sweet little charm that said "I love my wife." It was so pretty.
After all the hair and make up, the entire bridal party was stunning in their light colored tuxes and pink hued dresses. Everyone looked like they just stepped off a movie screen.
Not only were the clothes stunning, but the ring Jorge got Nicole was absolutely BREATHTAKING. If a girl dreams of her wedding ring this is the one she imagines. It's the one that makes everyone jealous and wish they had one for themselves.
When the music started to play Nicole and her dad came around the corner and down the isle, it was a sight not to be forgotten. The look on Mr. Richards face was one of utmost love, pride and joy.
If you've never been to a traditional Catholic wedding then I suggest you go to one if you ever get a chance. It's full of songs, scripture and love. Once the couple said "I do" they turned to face the world as the new Mr. & Mrs. Carrero. They looked ready to take on anything life could throw at them.
After the ceremony everyone headed over to the Hoover Sailing Club at Hoover Dam for the reception. That's when the party really began. The cake was stunning and the formals of the couple and the bridal party were something to be remembered.
All in all it was a beautiful day full of love between two people, support of friends and family and good times had by all. I wish nothing but the best for this awesome couple and their new lives together as husband and wife.

When the bride walked down the stairs with her father, you could feel the emotions running through the air as they both choked up and made their long walk down the isle together. In the end the ceremony was classic and airy and very well done.
Congrats Mr & Mrs Schneider! May your new life together be wonderful and full of everlasting love!

Colton can say "ball", "up" and "Vroom!". What melts my heart is his 4 little front teeth! He looks like a little beaver!
I have been waiting all year to do his cake smash. I went to Schneiders Bakery in Westerville and had them make a custom cake for him. They did an amazing job! If you haven't been there and had a donut, go ASAP!
We set the cake down in front of him and he immediately went straight for the bright green #1 on the top lol. He doesn't get sweets very often but when he got that first taste he gobbled it up!
We got him super dirty and smeared cake on his chubby little cheeks because he didn't want to get dirty!
This shoot has been by far my favorite this year! I may be biased because he is my nephew but he melts my heart just the same. These photo's will last forever!

My products will last the duration of your lifetime meaning you'll be able to pass these down to your children and grandchildren. I'll help walk you through the process of choosing images, the products you'll want to display in your home or carry with you in your purse and even deliver them straight to your door taking out the confusing responsibility of having to create your own keepsakes from your CD of images. I take care of everything for you! Every print purchase does come with a web sized file for social media sharing for friends and family.

Yes. In order to reserve your spot on the calendar this needs to be paid on the day you book your session. It is non-refundable. You can pay your retainer here. *Session is not scheduled until the retainer is paid in full.

All decision makers will need to be present at this time and final payment for your order will need to be given at this time. Don't forget your credit card or checkbook!
What types of payments do you accept?
I accept cash, check and debit/credit card at this time.
If you don't see your question here please feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email and I'll try to answer it as quickly as I can.

I am often asked by clients what they should wear for family photos. I want you to be comfortable and wear something that reflects your family's style, but I have some tips that will help make your photos look great.
I recommend choosing outfits that coordinate, but don't match. The days of everyone wearing white shirts and khakis have come and gone. To best accomplish coordinating outfits, treat everyone's clothing as if it were all one outfit. You can start by picking an inspiration piece- a scarf, a plaid shirt, etc.- and then select the rest of the clothing to compliment that piece. Try to stick to 3 or 4 colors. Lay everything out on a bed and make sure nothing stands out too much.
Add some texture with layers, ruffles, knits, embellishments, etc. Scarves for mom and hats or headbands for the little ones are always a great way to tie in colors. And don't forget your shoes, they will show!
Lastly, remember the season and the location. If it is fall and we are shooting with a red barn in the background, hot pink is not a good color choice!
Here are some great examples for some inspiration. And feel free to send me photos of outfits you are considering while planning for your upcoming session- I would love to help do anything I can to make your session easier and make your photos look great :)

This little guy was SO adorable! I can't believe he's here already and that he's happy and healthy. Mr. Chivilo was born December 17th 2014 at 3:30pm and weighed in at 6lbz 12oz 19 inches long. Mom and Dad are elated first time parents who can't get enough of their little one. More photos to come!
